Näst Hill House is the newest element in a larger master planning effort to create an integrated, multi-enterprise Mobility Innovation Destination—a dynamic test-bed for automotive development—within Volvo’s global headquarters at Torslanda outside of Gothenburg.

The new 24,000 square meter Innovation Center will have 15,000 square meters of creativity-optimized Class A office space supported by a fitness center, coworking incubator spaces and extensive food and beverage options to suit every mood and season.

In keeping with our research on the critical roles of interpersonal contact and access to abundant opportunities to interact with nature in promoting innovation, myriad meeting, amenity and green spaces are carved into the Swedish hillside along a spine that connects the new buildings to the iconic original headquarters designed by Romaldo Giurgola.
