In a competition for the new Cummins Headquarters in Indianapolis, SHoP developed a bold new approach to contemporary workplace design.
Invited to reimagine the corporate headquarters for Cummins, the noted American diesel engine manufacturer and a leader as well in 20th century design, SHoP proposed a single-level workplace punctuated by service zones comprising amenities from conference rooms to outdoor space. Several levels of parking ramps were designed to be incorporated into the occupied space of the building at a future date.
Our design incorporated a number of innovations intended to meet the demands of fast-tracked construction, several of which are highlighted in a VDC timetable we prepared for the competition.
